At MD Imaging, we place a lot of importance on community, and we have a history of giving our time, energy and resources to organizations and projects that extend beyond medical imaging.
We are instrumental in the development of the Think Pink Breast Cancer Awareness program. Started in 1997, Think Pink educates women throughout Redding and its surrounding communities about breast cancer, self-breast exams and the importance of early detection. We are proud to be part of the Nor Cal Think Pink program and proud to help distribute free "education bags" to women. These bags contain a breast health handbook, breast self-examination shower card, breast health resource card, American Cancer Society guidelines and cancer detection program guides. In our first year, Think Pink distributed 500 bags and today that number has grown to over 40,000.

In addition to Think Pink, MD Imaging also raises valuable funds for the Downtown Redding Soroptimist group. The money raised goes directly towards funding mammograms for women in our county.
In addition to Think Pink, we devote ourselves to many more local programs. These include the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life" and the Luminaria Ceremony, both of which help raise money for cancer research. We sponsor "Red Ribbon Week," which promotes a drug-free community, “The Lung Affair” a local program to help lung cancer patients, and the "Sober Grad Program," which educates high-school seniors of the dangers of drinking and driving. In addition, we're proud to support the Good News Rescue Mission. Each year, our staff and administration help serve lunches at the Good News Rescue Mission. This year, our team will prepare and serve a breakfast at the mission to over 200 people in need.
At MD Imaging, we also take a proactive role in the preservation of downtown Redding to help grow existing businesses and bring in new ones. We are actively involved in "Viva Downtown" and in 2004 we provided funding to help restore the history Cascade Theater. MD Imaging is a member of the Redding Chamber of Commerce and was voted "Business of the Year" in 2004. In 2011, MD Imaging was voted one of the Best Companies to Work for in Shasta County.
MD Imaging continues to find new ways to be part of this community and to support the local programs/businesses that make Shasta County a great place to live and raise our families.
