Relay for Life Luminaria Bags light up the night in memory or honor of those affected by cancer.
On June 9, MD Imaging held it's 2012 Relay for Life Event at Shasta College. Each year the entire day is filled with inspiration as the community comes together to support the fight against cancer, and the event closes with a beautiful tradition.
At the end of The Relay For Life Event, everyone gathers together for the Luminaria Ceremony. The Luminaria are simple white bags that are transformed and illuminated after dark. Each bag is personalized with the name, photo, message or drawing by a Relay For Life participant or supporter in memory or honor of a friend or loved one who has been affected by this disease. The participants walk the track lined with luminara bags in reflection, to find comfort, and to gain hope and strength for the future. Thank you again to all who participated in the ceremony.
