Ultrasound

Ultrasound (sonography) uses the echoes of sound waves to create detailed pictures for radiologist to view even the smallest internal areas of the body. Because of the way ultrasound works, it is often the best imaging option for difficult-to-image, large, or muscular patients.
Benefits of Ultrasound
Unlike X-ray or CT, ultrasound does not use radiation and is the preferred imaging method for viewing a developing fetus, examining the gallbladder and other abdominal organs, and evaluating blood vessels for disease, such as carotid stenosis (narrowing of carotid arteries).
Our Technology
We offer the latest ultrasound technology in the area with the recent installation of seven, Toshiba Aplio 500 Platinum Series ultrasound machines. Through this investment, our patients benefit from the highest possible image quality, including unmatched blood flow imagery for vascular screenings.
